Working closely with a very successful, dynamic and entrepreneurial IFA this paraplanning role offers an excellent opportunity to become involved in every aspect of the financial planning process from start to finish; including extensive client contact.
It can also offer the long term progression to advising in due course.
Working closely with the director / adviser, in a small team producing £1m + income per annum from an established client bank.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with constructing detailed client reports
Attending client meetings
Obtaining accurate product and portfolio valuations
Monitoring the progress of the advice cycle
Researching products and plans covering protection, investment and pensions
Monitor internal processes and compliance
You will be:
Committed to a career in financial planning and have paraplanning experience
Minimum level 4 diploma
Show willingness for professional development
Able to work to a consistently high standard on your own initiative
Have excellent organisational skills and willingness to develop and expand responsibilities.

Financial support and training is given for professional exams.
Salary is competitive and negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications.

This established firm is seeking to hire a born organiser who can consolidate and enhance the operational building blocks to enable them to expand. Any financial or accountancy/legal background would be suitable as long as you have a lot of operations experience and have worked in a role requiring superior organisation skills, a real eye for detail and working with sequential processes. A reasonable understanding and appreciation of the regulatory/procedural requirements such as money laundering that financial firms are strictly bound by is also required. A bit of life experience would be useful too so you can have a grasp of the their clients’ needs and someone who is warm, positive and can make a connection with the firms’ client would fit in well.

• A trusted business managing money for HNW clients – typical balances £600K to £2.5M per client.

The role will be to provide full technical support to advisers in the team and oversee the administrative feed into case planning so requires experience in pension transfers, fund switches, critical yield calculations, and cash flow analysis. Knowledge of CGT, IHT planning, trusts and intergenerational wealth is desired.

Cii, RO4 or JO5 qualifications would be a bonus, as they are pensions focussed.

The role will involve producing reports, gathering and analysing data for presentation, client reviews and meetings, client servicing including portfolio rebalancing, due diligence and monitoring of compliance.
