The role will involve providing paraplanner support and working closely with advisers:
Researching and writing reports for financial planning strategies for new clients.
Writing reports for complex changes post annual review work for existing clients.
Acting as a point of contact with clients and dealing with non-advice related matters that may arise. Meeting clients where needed.
Provide technical support and training to administrative and junior staff.
Complete research tasks as assigned, acting as a supporting member of Investment Committee.
Develop and manage workflows and processes.

The role requires recent paraplanning experience, Diploma level 4 qualifications as a minimum and a genuine commitment to a career in financial planning. This role would suit a paraplanner who wants to take on some clients so it’s a great opportunity.

Responsibilities will include liaising with companies, updating client fact finds, sending off letters of authority, processing new business.
To apply for this role you must have recent experience working within the IFA environment and demonstrate a broad technical understanding. Experience of Intelligent Office would be an advantage.

The key requirement for this role is that the person must have worked within an IFA practice either currently or in a previous role for at least three years and ideally have at least five years compliance experience. The key responsibilities in this role are:
• Dealing directly with the regulator
• Have the interpersonal skills required to deal and work co-operatively with the firm’s clients, advisers and staff and work on your own initiative
• Maintain compliance manuals and keep up to date with regulatory developments
• Handling complaints
• Assist with notifications to the regulator and handle MiFID reporting
• Undertake file checks and ensuring remedial work is completed
• Maintain competency testing for the firm’s RIs
• Providing technical support for the firm’s staff when required
• Reporting to the partners on all activities
