Seeking two paraplanners for a specialist medium sized boutique wealth manager in the West end.Clients are generally HNW and the advice is focused on pensions and investments.

1-Established experienced paraplanner who is Diploma plus / progressing to Chartered status.Happy with client contact but not wanting to advise. Capable of pension calculations and comfortable constructing advice and putting reports together.

2-Diploma qualified and happy to continue study towards Chartered status. Less experienced but keen to progress their career.

Solid written and verbal interpersonal skills are required as is relevant technical exposure and a firm understanding of the financial planning process gained within a paraplanning / technical support capacity within a financial planning or wealth management firm.

The role involves providing administrative support to the technical managers and paraplanners, and being supported in developing full and holistic product knowledge to facilitate career progression within the financial planning space.
Responsibilities will include:

Process new and existing business
Assisting with the client review process
Liaising with clients to arrange initial and review meetings
Record and maintain accurate data using the company’s back office computer system (Intelligent Office)
Liaise with IFAs, Paraplanners, providers and Clients to ensure a smooth and compliant client process
Assisting Paraplanners with the creation of suitability letters and reports
To apply for this role you will need

You will ideally have 12 months previous experience within an IFA environment
Be highly numerical and analytical with a high standard of written English
Excellent communication and IT skills
You will have ideally started your professional development working towards completing your Diploma.

– Liaison with payroll providers to ensure correct deductions are set up
• Day to day administration of corporate clients
• Dealing with clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Dealing with new joiners/leavers of pension scheme.
• Liaising with clients and providers on a regular basis to ensure schemes are kept up to date
• Monthly pension submissions via provider websites

The Business Standards team focuses on delivering high quality advisory standards and practices as well as delivering positive client solutions by liaising with both investment manager and financial planner stakeholders within the business.

The roles involves undertaking risk analysis and other desk based monitoring methods across investment management and financial planning.

Additionally, the roles will also support the adoption of new policy, process and controls using MI to identify risk and recommend appropriate remediation, training and improvements.

To apply for this role you will need:

Experience gained in a compliance  or risk background

Previous experience of working within wealth management and / or financial planning environment

Demonstrable experience of compliance monitoring, compliance policy or operational risk.

A good working knowledge of conduct risk matters, investment governance arrangements and relevant regulations, particularly COBS, CASS and SYSC.

In addition, a relevant professional compliance, financial planning or investment qualification, and proficiency with Excel.
